We are a Southern Baptist Church with deep doctrinal convictions which come directly from the Word of God. We believe the Bible to be the divinely, inspired, inerrant Word of a sovereign and omnipotent God. We are firmly convinced that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who is willing to save anyone and everyone who comes to Him in repentance from sin and in faith. We believe He died for the sins of the whole world, not for just the few elect. HBC fully supports the 1963 and 2000 Baptist Faith & Message. We are not a Reformed (Calvinist) church and reject the fundamental teachings of that systematic.
Highlands is a teaching church where expositional teaching of the Scripture is central to all we do. We believe that the primary means by which God uses to grow His children in the faith is through the knowledge of the Word.
